How to Schedule a Campaign Activity

A campaign is a collection of marketing activities that includes emails, email workflows, web plugins, print media, online ad campaigns, or any combination of the above. You can use supplier-provided campaigns or create your own. By creating campaigns, you will be able to gather data in one place for all the marketing activity around a specific product or service.

Scheduling campaign activities allows you to plan and create campaigns well in advance of actually launching a campaign. When you schedule an activity, you will pick a date and time for the activity to be sent to selected recipients. 

You may see Alerts on the Scheduling page to review Personalization or Recipients. Click Review, to complete the necessary tasks. The following must be true to schedule the activity:

  1. The activity must be saved, but personalization is not required.
  2. The campaign must have contacts associated with it.
  3. The account must have adequate mailing credits for the campaign.

Some campaign activities are not scheduled directly but are part of a workflow. In this article, we cover activities that are not in a workflow. When the campaign activities are part of a workflow, you may not see the option to schedule. An email activity can be part of an automated series of emails that are sent based on triggers. How to Schedule Campaign Activities 

  1. From Campaigns > My Campaigns, click on the campaign title to select it. You will land on the Campaign Dashboard.
  2. Select an Activity that has not been sent, for Scheduling. You will land on the Activity Dashboard.
  3. Select Edit to access the Scheduling tab. 
  4. In the Email Schedule box, select Send now or Send at a specific date and time. If you choose a specific date and time, select it from the calendar.
  5. Select Schedule to deploy the activity. To make any changes, Unschedule the Activity.

How to Change a Schedule for a Campaign Activity

  1. From Campaigns > My Campaigns, click on the campaign title to select it. You will land on the Campaign Dashboard.
  2. Select an Activity that has not been sent, for Scheduling. You will land on the Activity Dashboard.
  3. Select Edit to access the Scheduling tab. 
  4. To make any changes, select Unschedule on the Activity Dashboard.
