Sage CRM: How to Set Up for Integration

While Zift123 can be deployed independently, integrating it with your existing infrastructure can enhance the impact and value of the total solution. To streamline integration, Zift123 has prebuilt connectors to many third-party CRMs including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, Sage CRM, and SugarCRM.

What's the value in connecting your CRM to Zift123?

  • Automatically sync lead information to your existing CRM.
  • Save time on data entry.
  • Add new Zift123 activity to synced CRM leads.
  • Provide more insight to sales people for lead follow-up.
  • Pull contact lists/lead lists to Zift123.

We recommend that suppliers choose a single method of lead management - email, Zift123, or CRM.

How to Configure Users

Users must be configured properly to gain access to Sage CRM. Each user must be created with a username, password, and a URL to gain access to the integration. To configure users do the following:

  1. Log in to Sage CRM with an administrative account.
  2. Select your profile in the top right corner.
  3. Select Administration from the drop down menu.
  4. Select Users on the left side and select Users again.
  5. Select Find on the right side and select the user account you would like to use for the integration.
  6. If the user does not have Allow Web Service Access enabled, select Edit and change Allow Web Service Access to true
  7. Select Save.

Sage CRM is available as either a cloud based CRM or an on-premise CRM. You need to know which version you will be using before proceeding to the next steps. If you are unsure, check with your site administrator.

How to Find the WSDL URL for the Hosted Version of Sage CRM

  1. Select your profile picture in the top right corner.
  2. Select Administration from the drop down menu.
  3. Select Manage My Account.
  4. Select the External Access tab at the top.
  5. Copy the Web Services > WSDL value labeled Connection String.

How to Find the WSDL URL for the On-Premise Version of Sage CRM

If you are running a SageCRM Premise (non-hosted) installation, you will need to first determine two pieces of information.

  1. The server name from which the installation runs.
  2. The install name of your CRM.

With these two pieces of information, you can replace the values in the following formula to acquire your WSDL:

https://servername/crminstallname/eware.dll/webservices/webservices.wsdl

About Zift123 Leads in Sage

  • Once Auto-pull leads/contacts from CRM is enabled, Zift123 will begin importing all leads with an email address from Sage on a nightly basis.
  • All leads or contacts that are sent from Zift123 to Sage will set the lead source field to Zift123.
  • Leads that exceed the lead score threshold, typically set at 50, will be sent on a nightly basis to Sage. 
  • Web click, web view, and/or email open activities will be created as contact/lead marketing events in Zift123 on a nightly basis.
  • Leads will include all standard lead contact fields such as name, address, title, etc.
  • Marketing activities from Zift123 will be on the Notes page if you have selected CRM Settings > Advanced Lead Distribution Options > Send customer fields into the Notes.  
  • Leads will be matched to existing Leads in Sage based on email address. Once a lead has been sent into Sage or already exists in Sage, none of the standard information will be updated or modified in any way; only new marketing activities will be added.
  • Sage CRM does not have the web services that allow Zift123 to pull contacts. If you choose to set up your Zift123 account to record leads as contacts (as opposed to recording them as leads) then you will not be able to pull contacts from Sage into your Zift123 account. See Settings > SageCRM > General Settings > Record Leads in CRM, for how your system is set up.

How to Display a Leads List in Sage

  1. Select Leads.
  2. In the Filter section, change the stage filter to Unassigned and select filter on the bottom right.
  3. Your Zift-generated leads should populate the list at the bottom of the page.
